Pitch Us Stories

Have a story that you think could work for our show? Freelancers make our show great, and we’re happy to consider your story for our air.

A few pointers:

  • We tend to go for stories that inspire wonder and/or reveal something surprising about the culture world.

When you pitch, it’s good to have a sense of who you’d like to talk to (even better if you’ve already gotten in touch with them and have a sense of what they’ll say in an interview). It’s also good to propose a few potential scenes and an overall narrative arc of your story. You don’t need to know how it ends or offer any “what it all means”-type things, but you should be able to convey a richness of detail to get us to care about something we otherwise wouldn’t have thought twice about.

Ready? Write to us at with subject line “pitch”.

We read every single pitch. Seriously. If we think it can work for us we’ll get in touch. Our turnaround time on reviewing pitches is about 2-3 weeks.
